Welcome to the Patriot's Inn!
The Patriots' Inn was named in honour of the men who have sacrified their life to conquer the independance and the freedom of Lower Canada, in the years 1837-1839, from the English and anglo-protestant militia.
Their resistance mostly took place on the South Shore of the St-Lawrence river where numerous battles were fought in Napierville, St-Ourse, St-Charles, St-Denis, Beauharnois, Laprairie, and Carignan, not far from the Inn where several Patriots were killed in a ditch. The twelve main leaders of the rebellion were hung and 58 others deported to Australia where a monument now stands in their memory.
Recently renovated, the Patriot's Inn is set in a traditional country style that includes a small pond on the property. It offers seven independent air-conditioned rooms subtly decorated with a romantic touch, each with its private bathroom, refrigerator, television set and VCR, as well as complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access.
